Selection process for the alternative Baebe:

A new reality TV programme - The Baebe Factor

Format - take all of the above named, put them into a mansion rigged with cameras, a copious supply of alcohol, enough musical instruments to make anyone dizzy & let them get on with it. Have the usual tasks, challenges, voting & panel of "experts". Select a guest presenter each week from the fans.

Former Celtic Woman Orla Fallon. At first, I bet many would think this wouldnt work, but consider...

1. She has an excellent speaking voice, perfect for any pre-song poetry recital. On the recent Jim Brickman show she guessed on, Brickman even noted how great her speaking voice is, saying something like "I could listen to you just talk all night"
2. She has performed a number of songs in languages other than English.
3. She loves performing songs that have an ancient theme to them.
4. She plays the harp, which could be a good instrument in line with the mediaeval theme to use.
5. Some descibe her voice as an alto. I dont know about that, the voice designations always get me confused. But from listening to the baebes voices, Orla's is clearly different from them all and could go well in harmonizing with them.

Going a bit off topic, but the voice designations (soprano, mezzo-soprano, etc) of the baebes, what would they be considered? I have some ideas on what they are though, just wondering if I am correct..

Hello. Good choice Blysse  Kate Bush would be great, as would Loreena McKennitt.

Sharon Den Adel from Within Temptation would also be fantastic as a guest singer. How about Emma Hardelin from the Swedish folk-rock band Garmarna. She is a wonderful singer.

Hey, an old post resurrected. What a pleasant surprise. I haven't been on for ages due to one thing and another.
Hope everyone is keeping well.

I may have suggested it before, but Gwenno Saunders would be an ideal alternative Baebe.
She has collaborated with Emily on Celtic Legend, so the leap wouldn't be too great.

Cheers
