"Miracle" as Record of the Week on BBC Radio Two. That would be rather nice wouldn't it. It might just happen if your dainty digits start tapping the keyboards like crazy.

I've just sent my suggestion to Ken Bruce & sincerely hope that lots of you will follow my lead.

The e-mail address is :

ken.bruce@bbc.co.uk

Cheers, Pat.

:D :D :D :D

I have sent my nomination to Ken Bruce.

I wonder how many will be enough to get it as record of the week ?

We need everyone to take part in this one.

Wouldn't it be great if we could make it happen.

Thanks, SW & SM, for sending e-mails. I don't know how many will be needed to sway Auntie Beeb's mind but quite simply, the more the merrier.

OK, Baebes, Baebettes, Bloakes, Bloaklings & any other sentient lifeforms out there capable of using the Internet, let's get typing.........

:D

I've added my vote to Ken Bruce too!

I don't usually listen to Radio 2, though my husband does. I alternate between Classic FM and Planet Rock!

Variety IS the spice of life!

For those of us unfamiliar with the BBC and it's workings, what would the content of the message be like?

Something along the lines of:

Hi Ken, I'd like to suggest that you pick "Miracle" by the Mediaeval Baebes as your Record-of-the-Week for the period 24-28 Nov 08. The track is taken from their new CD "Illumination" which goes on general release soon. The Mediaeval Baebes are a six-piece female choir whose music knocks the socks off anyone who listens & who have a solid fan base both in the UK, Europe & across the Herring Pond.
Cheers, (insert name here)

:D

I have sent my e-mail, and I have fingers crossed, however.........

.....I'm guessing it all depends on whether the Baebes record company have sent out promo CDs to radio stations, if they haven't, then it might be a lot harder for radio stations to pick this up.

Yep, I hope that they have dished out promo copies of Miracle to the various radio stations.

If there should happen to be any going spare then please could one or two be sent to me & I shall happily go & door-step the local stations in this neck-of-the-woods. The same applies to any other promotional material that might be laying around the office - bung it in my direction & I shall plaster it all over place. I've been "spreading the word" - even the girl at the Makro cigarette counter got a five minute briefing yesterday!!!

TM6S, by moving does that mean you are "downsizing" & will be shortly known at TheMischeviousFiveFootSprite. :D
