My favorite music website!! Thanks for sharing, meriidan!

I was browsing through iTunes (USA) to see if Miracle had popped up yet....it hasn't. I'm interested to know something, though....I noticed that the Baebes are credited as both "The Mediaeval Baebes" (for Salva Nos and Worldes Blysse) and "Mediaeval Baebes" (all the rest of the albums). Was there an official change of name after Worldes Blysse?

Hee hee I find the Shepherd's Song a bit like Ecce Chorus Virginum - a bit Country and Western! But of the 30 seconds I've heard it I'm in love with Invocation..... I guess there is no way to listen to the whole song through without buying it.......!!! :-)

Thanks for all the links, everybody.

I can't say I was immediately taken with Shepherd's Song and the version of Miracle doesn't seem to me to be as good as the Illumination version. However, I think the single is worth buying just for Invocation which I immediately liked.

I have to have something physical and not a mass of downloaded bits so I think I will choose the HMV option. I notice, though, that they are out of stock for seven days. :(

I have been informed that the US release date has been put back to Jan 09

I pre-ordered from HMV, it didn't come today. Hope they did have some from the suppliers to send out and not wait until today to order. Amazon is also quoting 7 to 12 days. I think any chance at the charts may get busted in the same way I experienced with another group.

An e-mail from Amazon informs me that, blah, blah, suppliers, blah blah, I shouldn't expect to get Miracle until 02/04-12-08. Ho Hum.

Nothing from HMV either, not even an explanation of any delay. Oh well at least I got the iTunes download. I think my chart in last.fm is going to be seriously skewed towards MB this week.

Ok so i've bought the Ep via Itunes, but im damned if i can find the actual physical release, i went into the local HMV this week and asked about it and just drew a blank look from the sales person. Whats the story? Has the release been pushed back or has the initial pressing already ran out? I'll order it from Amazon most likely i just wanted the excitement of going into a record shop on a monday and having a cd in my hands like in the olden days lol :)

Well folks, I got my Miracle EP with Shepherds Song and Invocation today all the way from the UK.

Pom will have to forgive my fickle nature but WOW! I am completely and utterly smitten with Invocation and it is hands down my new favorite thing to come out of Illumination. Miracle will now have to take it's position as a cherished second. I find an overwhelming simplistic kind of beauty in Invocation. The melody washes in and out like gentle waves on a long shallow beach soft and rhythmic yet with a thousand little faint magical whispers, echos and details. Just stunning.

OK. Someone help my aged mind here. Did I, or did I not, read somewhere the the Shepherd's Song would be sung with each of the six members taking a verse in turn?

I ask because after listening to it a bunch of times I'm sure it is but I cannot believe how hard it is to really tell who's who. If it really is sung in turn I think it'd be dangerous good fun to start a new topic where we list the verses 1-6 and take a shot at calling who sings each. I have my ideas but I'll hold them till I hear from yall.

P.S. Am I the only one who finds some great irony in this "Shepherd's Song" being released after all the "sheep" nonsense that went on on this board regarding Illumination???

I caught it too, and have been happily bleating along with it ever since!
