I always like Katharine's earlier band Miranda Sex Garden. I have "Suspiria", "Madra", and Carnival of Souls", all great albums. I spoke with her briefly a few years ago at the Florida Renaissance Festival and she said that Miranda Sex Garden might one day be resurrected.

Have you added "Fairytales Of Slavery" & "Iris" to your collection yet?

I found a fun little review of MSG in The Rough Guide to Rock "they have spent years putting the S&M into R&B".

An absurdly neglected band.

MSG not just created a sound that was only their own, I would say that they created their own peculiar genre as well...

All their works are great, specially "Iris" and "Carnival of Souls", which for me are perfect from start to finish.

Every MSG fan should try to find their cd-singles, because they contain some little hidden gems. They contributed to a Radiohead tribute album as well doing a cover of "Exit Music: for a film". This song is also worth hearing, I far prefer it to the original one.

Cheers.
