Hello Everyone,

I’m Hugh in Northern Virginia – one among the many MB fans in the Washington, D.C. metro-area. I first saw the Baebes at the MD Renn Fest in 2003, again in 2008, and last weekend. It’s been a privilege to attend so many performances in a week’s time, incl. Monday night’s beautiful concert at Montgomery County College and a bonus “pub party” …… um, today, back at the festival (what a good week!).

I picked up “Illumination” last year, been enjoying it very much since, and have been slowly working my way backwards through the catalogue.

In addition to the battle cry as well as exquisitely soothing sounds of MB, I like the Monkees, Beach Boys, ELO, ABBA, R.E.M., They Might Be Giants, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Buddy Holly, Elvis (Costello and the King), Pink Martini, Amelia, Paolo Conte, Elliot Smith, Zero 7, and Brazilian Tropicalia (Milton Nascimento is just amazing). Oh, and a little ensemble called the Beatles. (Thank-you again, England.)
