If there was a lyric, I'd share it! Unfortunately, most of the "songs" on the Virgin Queen soundtrack consist of lines thrown together AFAIRC - it has been discussed before on the forum and some ppl are working on getting some lyrics or sources of lyrics. I think they (and the internet) are probably your best hope.

I was trying to transcribe what I could discern from the actual song, but my Latin's not that good :P

It sounds a bit like.....

"Domine am queso
Vanitay device
in corpum spiritum
I may uprise

In vernum sancta
I shall despise
Forte rimini
salva e me"

Again, my latin isn't that well and some of the sounds make it hard to 'hear' the right letters and all.... Especially the second sentence is hard. Oh, and the second to last.

How's that for a help? :)

Love,
Phantas

You may be right there - the first two lines could then actually say:

"Domine impresso
Vanity defies ... "

or something alike. Can anyone else here share some thoughts?

And again, there are (sadly) no official lyrics available - not even in the booklet. :( On the internet I did once find the origins of the Virgin Queen song (the first track on the soundtrack). It happened to be parts of an original poem by Queen Elizabeth, but I have lost the link. It should be around the forum somewhere, keep looking for virgin queen information !

Good luck in your search!!! :) And when you know, tell us too!

Love,
Phantas

I heard the song 'essex' several times. Here are a few thoughts. Translations in [].

Domine impresso [insistent ruler]
Vanity defies
in corpus spiritum [in a body of soul]
I may uprise
in fabulous summertime (I missed this line)
I shall despise
..... riminis (???)
somebody may (sounds for me not like 'salva e me')

The words at the end of this song sounds like: (all words in latin)

libera mei, Cortney [free me, Cortney], Cortney: a french first name, mei = (genitiv) I
liberare me
lar satana [house-god Satana]
salutare me [rescue me]

The line 'lar satana' is questionable, she asks her house-god for help, but his name is 'enemy'?

I am not a Latiner, translation could be wrong
