A question from a musical dolt. Be kind.

The Baebes use lots of different recorders in their shows. Many faces of Sister Moon ago I bought a cheap little recorder so I could play some tunes. On the back it has what's either a lower case "b" or a flat. Do recorders come in "keys" and if so, which one would be the best for playing Baebes melodies?
