Presuming I've got it right that in the Shepherd's Song each Baebe sings a verse, I'm foolish enough to try to say which Baebe sings which verse in order. Though, the voices are amazingly similar and I'm almost given to wonder if I'm just imagining it all. I think it'll be good fun to see who's in tune and who's got tin ears.

Now, if you don't have the Miracle single with Shepherd's Song and Invocation you should feel really left out and be compelled to go buy it immediately. Any of you out there that have inside knowledge please refrain until it looks like anyone brave ( or dumb ) enough to guess has had a chance. Here goes:

1.) Katharine
2.) Esther
3.) Claire
4.) Emily
5.) Melpomeni
6.) Bev Lee

Rate as follows;

6 of 6 - Baebophile
5 of 6 - Oficionado
4 of 6 - Sith Apprentice to Darth Sparkles
3 of 6 - Fan
2 of 6 - Happy-go-lucky music lover
1 of 6 - Start practicing your international sign language
0 of 6 - Just in it for the lipstick and tight satin dresses

It's Melpomeni, Esther, Katharine, Rabbitt, Emily, Bev. To be honest I don't think their voices are all that similar, at least not ot the extent where you'd get easily confused.

My Guesses:

Melpomeni
Esther
Katharine
Rabbitt
Emily
Bev Lee

:)

I'm sure I understand what the rating scale is for? It could just be that I'm having an awful week and my head's not on straight :)

Unfortunately, grape juice. But we do have some red wine hiding around here somewhere....must find that.

OOUUCHH!!!

Maybe if I spent as much time around them as you did it'd be obvious...

Ouch!!!

They're kind of similar...

ouch!

So, maybe I am a tin eared galoot...

<sniffle>

So, now it occurs to me I'm not sure where we'll all get a definitive answer from. Though I'm not sure I want to know now :roll:. Maybe my 11th grade English teacher was right when he told me, "Better to sit silent and be thought a fool, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."

Hehe, I hope you were kidding about being hurt :wink: I don't think you have to spend time with the band to tell their voices apart, just listen to the CDs, though knowing a speaking voice well doesn't hurt in recognising a singing voice. As for a definitive answer, hate to sound horrible but me and Catherine are right....plus I've seen them do it live a few times and it's stuck in my head.

I really didn't intend to sound mean, I've just never understood people not being able to tell voices apart, whether it's the baebes or any other band. :)

No, not "hurt". Though, my pride may experience some redness and swelling for a week to 10 days. Try to sympathize with my disappointment. I profess to be one of the group's greatest fans yet I publish proof positive that I have no real idea what I'm listening to. Not such a good moment. It gave me cause for deep introspection;

"A sheep that does not recognize the shepherdess' voice will surely be lost."

Well then. I'd urge you to count your blessing. You are apparently able to enjoy the music on a perceptual level that some of us will never be capable of. I can scarcely imagine the music sounding any more rich and detailed. Must be cool.

Good wishes, Namaste` and Pax Dei. No problems.

If its help salve your wounded pride Mr T I couldn't get more than 2 or 3 with any certainty, they all sound pretty similar on this to me as well. And while we are in confession mode I may as well come straight out and admit that I was stunned to discover recently (when I read the sleeve notes) that the lead vocal on Pearl and Passing thus Alone wasn't Katherine but the rather wonderful (it now appears) Karen Lupton.
Maybe its a male/female thing, my girlfriend is always telling me blokes dont listen properly... or something like that...
