Greetings from down south of the USA. We're in a lovely hotel in the city of Charlotte, drinking the bar dry and enjoying the sun.

Well, it would be great to know what your favourite track off Illumination is, partly because it's interesting to see what connects with people but also because we are thinking about what the 2nd video could be.

I've had to do two polls as there are too many options. So if you don't see your favourite song go back to the Illumination thread and to the 2nd poll.

Let's get voting!

Emily x

Hi Emily :)

My vote went to Mad Song as it is undisputedly the song that caught me while playing it the first few times. It has a magical quality!

However, I love every song on the album!! :D

I'd love to see a video for Ecce Chorus Virginum though :D

Love,
Phantas

I had to go with The Blacksmiths, but I really do love the whole album and have several other favorites, too.

Emily - It's great to hear that all of you are having a little time to relax and enjoy your trip. It was such a pleasure seeing you in MD, and I can't wait until next years tour dates are announced for the wide release of Illumination.

Blacksmiths is my favorite I think, but I voted for To The One, because I thought less people might vote for it! Both of them are less "commercial" than others I think.

Is it too "elitist" to vote for the bonus tracks? (sorry, USA political humor).

My wife and I both agree that Desert Rose is the best. Though I am sure I will change my opinion several times as I keep listening to the disc. I got to watch the baebes perform many of these tracks last weekend. I think they did a great job on The Blacksmiths and Desert Rose. Okay, they did a great job on all of the songs, but still, I can't vote for all of them - can I?

Yeah, I noticed Emily didn't list them in the poll. I avoided discussing them for the most part except my initial review of the album.

As this would put Swete Jhesu off limits It's Miracle. Admittedly the coin is still in the air. It might be worth noting, that my appreciation of Yonder Lea grows proportionally to my blood alcohol level Just 'cause I can shout "HEY!" ever other verse. Not proud, just sayin' is all.

I am truly sorry but I can not VOTE!
For this album Illuminates me and I will not let any song outshine another.

Don't worry. They had plenty on hand at the Tremont and Carolian Ren Faire in Charlotte. Wish I could have bought more than I did, but things like food and gas took a reluctant priority!! Wish I could be there. Welcome to the forum and have fun!! They put on an assume show!!

I too think the entire CD is amazing. I think the track that I like the best is Mad Song because of the arrangement. It's mixture of words and music weave through my head. But that's also the one downside I have with it; I haven't been able to get it out of my head for the last 4 days!! Catchy title, I thought. On the serious side, i think the entire CD is a great work.

To The One is definitely my favourite track.

I adore how it builds and builds to become such a powerful and magical song (especially with the harp). The mix of languages really works and there's lots of emotion too. I can just see the video for this where the Baebes are walking through a ruined castle  Yonder Lea is my second favourite. You can hear Faun's input which really adds to the feeling of that song.
