Just listened/endured it again & it still doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. Trance-type tracks are fine but this just isn't what the Baebes do best. Anyway, it would be a dull old World if we all liked the same things. At the moment all I can hear is the whirring of the cd player as the silent bit trudges on to the hidden ending bit. Cheers, I'll listen to "Yonder Lea" as an antidote............ |

The thing with "Best of....." albums is that they're so subjective. (I mean, where's anyone referring to "Lyke Wake Dirge" ? (or "This ay nicht" as you'll probably know it as) I mean, that's the track that drew me in. I just wish the Baebes would sing it live again! Each of us have different favourites and not-so-favourites - and long may it remain so!!! |

Shame on you Sparkles!!! That tune is in devotion to the Lord!! OK. Perhaps it is a bit slow. Of all the Baebes music I own, which I think is all that exists, Dringo Bell is the only one I'll skip. I'm not typically averse to repetitiveness, but that one somehow crosses my line. Wow... that was like confession; Forgive me Kat for I have sinned... 50 Pater Nostras. |

Wow... that was like confession; Forgive me Kat for I have sinned... 50 Pater Nostras. Then that'll be why I follow a more 'craft' based religion |

Each of us have different favourites and not-so-favourites - and long may it remain so!!! AH! I love This Ay Nicht! It's just that...it didn't fit in for some reason, and I love some other tracks just a tad wee more. I feel it's a gloomy track, dark and cold, and they have soooo many tracks that I like, that You have to say yes to some and say no to others. But yes, as you say, it's very subjective. It always is. Love, Phantas |

Aww, I love Blow Northern Wind! We're having it at our wedding However, I really hate Spiriti, it's that "aaeeo" noise in the background mainly, its like a car alarm. My favourites are: The Work of the Lord Come My Sweet Blow Northern Wind Dringo Bell Glass Window Ah Si Mon Moine Ecco Mundi Gaudium Salva Nos Star of the Sea The Lament Tam Lin (although I didn't like it at first!) OOOH One of my favorites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish it was included in the Songbook, but it isn't. Can't be that hard, though; I think it's just in parallel fifths. I'm going to convince my group to do it!!!!!! |
