Had a listen to Illumination in the car while out on errands today. I think I must have been grinning giddily in every store I went into. It's amazing what an enclosed stereo chamber like a car can do with sound.

LOVE it!

Listening to music is necessary for my soul...I get emotional when I hear big booming drums, amazing harmonies, a catchy melody..mostly with the upbeat, joyous songs for some reason! The songs on this album did that for me...it was hard to drive after awhile! Even Till A' the Seas Gang Dry, which I think is my least favorite if I had to pick one at all (thanks for the note, Sarah :D )

I was annoyed that the stores I went into had Micheal Bolton blaring on their sound systems, and seriously wanted to put my iPod plugs in..but I thought that would seem a bit rude at the bank :)

I don't see change, growth, evolution and artistic integrity as selling out. Yeah, it's a little different, but remember that nearly the entire band changed since the last album!

As Sparkles and Sarah know, I am actually beyond perfection. Honestly.

If you invite me into your world, everything will seem suddenly perfect and have a slight glowy haze, like the nicest dream possible.

Not that I ever toot my own horn, I usually like to toot someone elses.

My darling I think there are quite a few horns on this forum that need tooting

Ok.. Now that's just over the line.. I'm deeply offended by that statement, taken in jest or no...

Ok... I'm not really.. I'm just trying to get in on the conversation...

I'm being enchanted by "To the One" today. I seem to find a new favorite song from the album every day!

After all the seemingly endless chitchat about their last album and tour(s), I will hardly believe it, but if people here want to read even more about the Mediaeval Blæ-blæ-blæ; I wrote I review about their show in Zoetermeer Holland, last month. Regarding my poor and "coal" English, I think it wasn't a good idea to write it in English, so it might only be interesting for the people who (try to) understand Dutch. It's written for a metalzine by the way, so in order to get the context: try to think as a metalhead (think vs metalhead: a contradiction in terms?). :D

That one is definitely among the top songs for me, as well.

Oooh, that's one of that parts that makes the song so stunning for me!

Greetings!

Right now, my favourite song from Illumination just has to be "Yonderlea" - but ask me what my favourite song is in a couple of weeks and it may well be something else! :D

Happily counting the days to the Gloucester Cathedral Gig!

Love Lady D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just got my Limited Edition Number 0942 in the mail. I had already bought the other when the Baebes were in Charlotte. Am merrily listening to the Monks and Sweet Jesus and re-evaluating the album after having it a couple of weeks. I still really like I Sing of a Maiden, Yonder Lea, The Blacksmiths, The Undivided and Suscipe Flos Florem. The more I listen, the more I like. That's the key to a good album for me. Songs that I like more than I liked the first go around are The Undivided and Sunrise. I think Esther did a great job on Swete Jhesu, King of Blisse, and Myrie Songen is the blissful Baebes at their best; it brought back shades of Salva Nos.

Thanks, Simon! I really don't know know exactly where it came it came from or who did it (the artist.) I got it from another website where it was entitled "A Fey Damsel." I found it beguiling and thought it appropriate for the Baebe forum.

I've used quite a few avatars, mostly myself pictured with various Baebes. But this seems the best one for me. You probably know it is Bottecelli.
